10 a.m. Joint Parishes’ Communion @ Stow Maries followed by refreshments in the Smythe Hall

Collect: Almighty and everlasting God,
who in your tender love towards the human race sent your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ
to take upon him our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross:
grant that we may follow the example of his patience and humility,
and also be made partakers of his resurrection;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

for those who make our palm crosses, often for a very low wage;

Ascension Day—Thursday 30th May—there will be a deanery-wide service at Bradwell at 12 noon. I am told that one of the D buses goes that way. This is an important day but one which tends to be poorly observed.

St. George’s Day event—April 27th—tickets £6 from Sally or Brenda at Althorne. All parishes welcome.

Footwashing on Maundy Thursday 8 p.m. at Althorne—we need twelve feet to be washed. Please help by offering a foot (speak to Sally or Brenda).

Chris and John would like to thank those we have not spoken to amongst our “Church Family” for the many cards and good wishes  we received on our recent Big Birthdays. Special thanks to Hazel for the cake.

Crouch Valley Courier—the next deadline is 12th May. As always, production depends on your contributions.

Revd. Sandra will be off-duty for the week after Easter (the Wednesday service continues as usual)
