Collect: Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness,
and was tempted as we are, yet without sin:
give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit;
and, as you know our weakness, so may we know your power to save;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayers during this week:

Please pray for the success of the Bishop’s Lent Appeal this year; that people may give generously;

Pray for the  Anglican Church of the Congo, and the Most. Revd. Zacharie Masimango Katanda, Archbishop;

that in the people in our four parishes may grow in their relationship with God by keeping Lent well;

 for those in Junction Road  and Stow Road (CN); & Kitchener Rd (NF);

 those who are unwell: David H; Richard N, David H; those known to us personally, and the family and friends of those who have recently died.

Wed. 13th: 9.30 a.m. BCP Communion (A) with healing ministry

Thu. 14th: 8.45 a.m. Clergy prayers/breakfast (Maldon); 2 p.m. Chapter Meeting

Sun. 17th: 2nd Sunday of Lent 10 a.m. Holy Communion (NF); 11.30 a.m. Morning Praise (CN); BCP Evensong (A) followed by APCM for Althorne.

Toasties and teacakes March 23rd in A church hall.

Healing service will be this week, Wednesday 13th (9.30 a.m. at Althorne).This replaces last Wednesday on which Ash Wednesday took priority.

APCMs Our parish annual meetings start next Sunday with Althorne. Please pray that the right people may be chosen for important roles.

Book sale Last weekend’s “Book Remainder” raised £1000, which will be spread evenly between St. Mary’s Burnham and St. Andrew’s Althorne. Thank you  to all who worked hard.

Sea Sunday. Because of a clash of dates with the Triathlon in NF, we will be marking Sea Sunday on July 7th (10 a.m. joint service on riverbank). Please alter your calendar.
